Me and my group mates went to Human Resource Department of the City Hall of Davao.
We had an interview with Florita Olegario the head of HRDD. From left to right (Ymreb Momville, Allysa Soriano, Marren Pequiro,Mrs. Florita Olegario, "Me"-Rosemie Nuñez, March Dawn Eder, and lastly was a staff who operated the LCD)
Picture taking together with the over all head of HRD in the City Hall of DavaoThey let us borrow their book in HR. You can find in the book the organization structure, functions and composition, and staff qualifications. The Human Resource Department of the City Hall of Davao were very accommodating. They welcome us and conducted our interview and presentation of their HRD at the conference room. They also let us have a soft copy of their presentation. =)
i envy you for being able to conduct a real interview with your adopted company...
even though it was an "ambush" interview, they still entertained you properly.
our adopted company was a bit reluctant to let us interview them. i think they don't trust us to correctly write down what they were going to say... bad!
*i'd appreciate your comments, too...*

By: David E. Guest Human resource management (HRM) comprises a set of policies designed to maximize organizational integration, employee commitment, flexibility and quality of work. Within this model, collective industrial relations have, at best, only a minor role. Despite the apparent attractions of HRM to managements, there is very little evidence of any quality about its impact. Furthermore very few UK organizations appear to practise a distinctive form of HRM, although many are moving slowly in that direction through, for example, policies of employee involvement. http://www3.interscience.wiley.com/journal/119470885/abstract?CRETRY=1&SRETRY=0 -----I don't agree with him that There is a "little evidence of any quality" about its impact, because the impact of HRM in this generation is really effective. President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo had her State of the Nation Address (SONA) last July 28, 2008. The 3 areas related to Human Resource Management: *Training: Training for vocational and technical courses that more than one million graduated. Also had a training partnership with the private sector. People are trained to work as a call center agent, medical transcription, animation and software developer, which have a demand of one million workers by 2010. *Health Insurance: Important program for hospitalization and other health benefits. Health insurance protect people from the high cost of medical care by providing coverage for specific health care services. Also to provide payment for overpriced/ expensive health care. *Seminars: Seminars promoting family planning Campaign to spread the awareness of responsible parenthood The purpose of the seminars is to slow down the population growth- (one of the reasons of the poverty). _____Among the living things in this world, humans have a highly developed brain. We are the most important because we have the ability to think, decide, manage, communicate, discover, and create. We lead and dominate the world, that’s why an organization cannot be an organization without people (who plan, manage, work, process, etc.). _____We are the least understood because sometimes we believe on what we think is correct. Worst managed of its resources because we have our own points of view, decisions, and theories, each of us don’t want to be under the control of others. _____Unlike computers and other high technologies today that absolutely follow every command when we manipulate them. That’s why corporations today use technologies because it is fast, it can satisfy and so easy to manage. VISIT: http://rosemiepn.blogspot.com/ AND LEAVE YOUR COMMENTS… THANKS!!!
