President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo had her State of the Nation Address (SONA) last July 28, 2008. The 3 areas related to Human Resource Management: *Training: Training for vocational and technical courses that more than one million graduated. Also had a training partnership with the private sector. People are trained to work as a call center agent, medical transcription, animation and software developer, which have a demand of one million workers by 2010. *Health Insurance: Important program for hospitalization and other health benefits. Health insurance protect people from the high cost of medical care by providing coverage for specific health care services. Also to provide payment for overpriced/ expensive health care. *Seminars: Seminars promoting family planning Campaign to spread the awareness of responsible parenthood The purpose of the seminars is to slow down the population growth- (one of the reasons of the poverty).
